What is VoisMapp?

VoisMapp is a social network where voice is tied to place. The recording you make stays on the map at the exact spot you left it, and the people around you listen to it right there. No text feed, no like race. Only human voice and the place it belongs to. Every recording leaves the map after 24 hours; you can keep it on your profile if you wish.

How does it work?

Three steps: you turn on location, you record your voice, and the recording drops onto the map where you are. People nearby tap that point and listen; they can leave a voice reply, join your live broadcast, or talk to you on the Open Channel. You only add a short title; the rest is your voice.

Why does every recording disappear after 24 hours?

A permanent archive makes people cautious about their own voice. That is why every post on VoisMapp stays on the map for 24 hours. If you turn on “Keep” while recording, the recording remains on your profile after it leaves the map and can still be found in search. Recordings you do not keep are removed from the map, your profile and search results after 24 hours. For legal obligations they are held in a closed archive for 30 days and then deleted irreversibly.

How is your location protected?

Your exact coordinates are never published. A post is placed on the map rounded to the precision you choose: 20, 50, 100 or 200 metres, with 100 metres as the default. Your voice stays in your neighbourhood, not at your door. Hidden mode removes your personal pin from the map entirely.

What can you do on VoisMapp?

Leave voice recordings on the map, start a live broadcast and invite guests onto it, make one-to-one voice calls, meet strangers by voice on the Open Channel, send walkie-talkie voice messages, take a discovery tour of the sounds around you, rent an area on the map, and use the whole interface in six languages.

Why voice?

I’d know you by your voice.

Writing a sentence says it; saying it out loud also says how you feel. Your tone, your pauses and your laugh do not fit on a keyboard. That is why VoisMapp takes voice out of the background of social media and puts it at the center of the experience: where you are, as you are.

Your voice is your identity

Every voice has its own timbre. The shape of your vocal cords, mouth and throat, together with the way you speak, leaves a mark as personal as a fingerprint. That is why we recognize a friend from a single “hello” on the phone, and why we can ask, “You sound off, what happened?”

Voice carries what words can’t

Research shows that people often read others’ emotions more accurately when they only hear their voice (Kraus, 2017). Hearing the same words spoken, instead of reading them, makes us perceive the speaker as more thoughtful and more human (Schroeder, Kardas & Epley, 2017). A voice carries the speaker as much as the message.

A voice belongs to a place

We whisper on a quiet street and raise our voice in a busy market; by the sea, the waves are behind every word. A voice carries the trace of where it was spoken. VoisMapp ties your voice to the spot where you left it, so listeners hear not only what you said, but where and how you said it.

Why we put voice at the center

Today’s social media is built on images and text; voice usually sits in the background of a video. We chose the opposite: no filters, no pressure to look perfect, no text feed. Just your voice, where you are. Posts leave the map after 24 hours (only the ones you choose to keep stay on your profile), because people sound most natural when they talk to someone, not to a permanent archive.

We take care of your voice

Your recordings are cleaned of background noise and balanced, so everyone is heard with the same clarity. Your exact location is never shown; it is rounded to the precision you choose. You decide who hears you, who can reply and who can call you.

Frequently asked questions

What is VoisMapp?

VoisMapp is a location-based voice social network. You leave your voice where you are and people around you listen to it on the map. Every post leaves the map after 24 hours (you can keep it on your profile if you wish), and your exact location is never shown.

Is VoisMapp free?

Yes. Signing up, sharing voice, listening, broadcasting live and talking to people are free. Only optional features such as renting an area on the map are paid, and the price is shown clearly before any payment.

How long does my recording stay on the map?

Every post stays on the map for 24 hours. If you turned on “Keep” while recording, it remains on your profile and in search results after it leaves the map. Otherwise it is removed from the map, your profile and search after 24 hours. It is kept for 30 days (100 days if it was reported) in a closed archive so we can answer lawful requests, then deleted irreversibly.

Can other people see my exact location?

No. A post is placed on the map rounded to the precision you choose (20-200 metres, 100 metres by default). Your precise coordinates are never written to any user, any page or any share preview.

Do I need to install an app?

No. VoisMapp runs in the browser, and you can add it to your home screen on a phone. Once added it opens like a full-screen app, with notifications, an offline screen and shortcuts.

How do I report something harmful?

Every recording, every voice comment and every user can be reported: you pick the matching reason and the report goes to human review. Both sides are told the outcome, and you can appeal it.
